First Reconciliation is usually offered during the child's second grade year. Classes are held September through May, with First Reconciliation in mid-year and First Communion in the Spring. Parental instruction is also part of the program. Helper teachers are needed as well. For more information contact the Pastoral Associate.
Times for Confessions:
Monday thru Friday: 11:30 A.M to 12:00 P.M.
Saturday: 3:45 P.M. to 4:15 P.M.
Our Lord instituted the sacrament on the day of His Resurrection when He entered the Supper Room and gave the Apostles the power to remit sin by saying: "Receive ye the Holy Ghost; whose sins you shall forgive they are forgiven; and whose sins you shall retain they are retained."
In the pamphlet rack in the back of church, brochures for an Examination of Conscience
and How to go to Confession
are available. Never fear going to Confession because you are not completely familiar with how to go. Just tell the priest you need a little help – he’ll be delighted to help you!
