4 Pillars of Mercy Mission Formation

Apostolic

Mercy Missionaries evangelize in two different environments.  On the one hand, Mercy Missionaries go out to the streets of Portland to connect with their friends on the streets.  In addition, they dedicate part of their time to missions of evangelization. There are three tracks of the evangelization mission: Cenaculo (high school); PSU campus ministry and San Juan Diego Youth; and Young Adults.

Spiritual

Mercy Missionaries develop a routine of regular prayer life (daily Mass, holy hour, intellectual formation, daily lectio, etc.) that will allow them to give out of the abundance of their hearts.

Intellectual

As they grow in the spiritual life and in their mission, they also grow in understanding the faith, through classes in theology and evangelization, leading toward a master’s certificate in the New Evangelization, as well as many other formation experiences.

Human

Mercy Missionaries live in a common house and share daily life together. They spend intentional time praying together, building friendships, and encouraging one another. They build an authentic community of friends in Christ.
