Works of Mercy
The ARK Works of Mercy team along with our Works of Mercy Coordinator plans and facilitates experiences where we can meet the tangible needs of others in Portland to display the love of God. If you’re interested in volunteering and would like more information, please email ark@stmichaelportland.org and we will provide further info on how to sign up and answer your questions.
Lunch in the Park
Every Thursday and Friday we provide lunches to our low-income and homeless friends in our neighborhood. We also use this time to grow in Christian fellowship with those we serve in the SW Park Blocks (the same block as the Oregon historical society and Portland Art Museum).
Mercy Nights
The 1st & 3rd Thursday evenings of the month we bring soup to the homeless in our neighborhood, and an offer of prayer. Thus we nourish their bodies and soul. We need help with providing the soup and prayer intercessions. Sign up is required to participate in this program, please email worksofmercy@stmichaelportland.org the Monday before the Thursday you wish to participate.
Pro-Life Ministry
The mission of our pro-life group is to support women and their children in choosing life and help them before and after birth.
Prison Ministry
Currently prison ministry is paused, once COVID restrictions are loosened, we are planning to resume our once-a-month prison ministry.
