At St. Michael’s we serve our homeless neighbors through different programs.

Mercy Nights

On the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month (October–May) we bring soup to the homeless in our neighborhood and an offer of prayer. Thus we nourish their bodies and soul. Join us from 5:30–8 p.m. Must be 18 and older.

Lunch by the Water

Every Thursday and Friday we provide lunches to our low-income and homeless friends in our neighborhood. We also use this time to grow in Christian fellowship with those we serve. We meet at 12:15 p.m. in the parking lot under the Hawthorne Bridge, off Naito. Our service takes place just north of the bridge, by the benches that overlook the river, or under the bridge if the weather doesn't allow us to be on the benches.

Current Donation Needs

Please drop off donations in the bins located by the bathrooms in Balestra Hall. The following items are always appreciated by our friends on the street:

Food: Pre-packaged snacks, such as chips, goldfish, cookies.

Clothing: NEW socks (please no used socks), hand warmers and gloves.

Donate: our programs depend on volunteer support, prayer and funding. If you are moved to financially support St. Michael’s Works of Mercy, please do so by selecting the “Works of Mercy Ministry” option.

Gift cards of any amount to Winco, Costco or any gas station for the Mercy Missionaries are also welcomed!
