Psalm 926 (SW Clifton St)

Responsorial Psalm - Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Wake up to beep beep bop.

Make that alarm clock stop.

Knees with a thud hit the ground.

Offer my day to Him now.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

The shower’s cold as ice,

But drying off feels nice.

No question which pants to wear.

One’s dirty, only have two pair.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Catch a ride to church with Diego,

Or ditch him to walk with Jesus – hasta luego.

Staff meeting runs way too long,

But deep inside I’m still hummin’ my song.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Cook meatballs at 350°,

Or wait, is it 250°?

Burned the subs today.

Hope the coffee is okay.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Forgot to put the coffee on simmer.

Sheesh, today I’m nada winner.

Mary consoles me to the bridge I’m a’walkin’.

Trustin’ the lunch will be good for talkin’.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

At lunch Phil had an epiphany.

Steve got reconciled with sister Tiffany.

The day now feels like vacation.

Download it to Jesus in adoration.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Soup night starts in an hour.

Jesus, please send some Holy Spirit pow’r.

Have to regroup volunteers after 3 no-shows,

Two newbies walk in – good to go.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Recite the missionary prayer.

We go out to God-knows-where.

Hour and a half on the streets,

Who’s receiving more: them or me?

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Debriefing as a crew,

Insights illuminate the room.

Leftover soup’s still pipin’ hot.

Wonder whether to refrigerate or not.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Tetris the freezer to make a special compartment.

Soup’s put away, and I am exhausted.

Used to work in the prototype truck shop,

Now I make sure the kitchen is mopped.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Dash home, brush teeth, say 3 Hail Mary’s.

Forgot about laundry, so tomorrow, the same pants I’ll be wearing.

Head hits the pillow, my last thought is so soothin’...

‘Cus I thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.

Movin’ and groovin’, Thank the good Lord we are movin’ and groovin’.
