One of the key ingredients of the Alpha course is the weekend of the Holy Spirit. It’s a weekend away to relax, connect with others and connect with God. The main theme of this retreat is the person of the Holy Spirit: Who is the Holy Spirit, what does the Holy Spirit do? And how to receive the Holy Spirit? We also pray for the coming of the Holy Spirit. It might be scary to “give up” a whole weekend but many participants have experienced profound benefits in this retreat weekend.
