ARK Work of Mercy: Praying for the Dead
On the first Saturday of November, we remember all of the souls of the holy deceased by performing a spiritual work of mercy: praying for the dead.
During the eight days after All Souls’ Day (Nov. 1st) a plenary indulgence is available for those who complete this work of mercy and receive the sacraments. Find more information on this indulgence here.
What and where is it?
We will be going to Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery to pray at individual graves. We will leave from St. Michael’s following 8:30 a.m. Mass and a light breakfast in the parking lot.
We will also pray a walking rosary together at Mt. Calvary to conclude the event.
Carpools are encouraged!
When is it?
Saturday, November 4
9 to 11 a.m.
We will have a debrief and hot chocolate back at St. Michael’s after we pray! It should last until 12 or 12:30 p.m.
We recommend signing up, so that we have a head count for our Costco muffins and fruit provisions.
