You are invited to our Spring Book Club for Young Adult Women on Edward Sri's Men, Women, and the Mystery of Love!
As young adult Catholic women, it can be difficult to know how to date and be in romantic relationships in a virtuous way. Even within Christian marriage, we are called to practice chastity and self-giving love. Our Spring Book Club provides a space to learn more about chastity (physical and emotional), discuss Christian dating and marriage, and have real conversations with other women of faith.
Edward Sri's Men, Women, and the Mystery of Love presents a practical and beginner-friendly overview of St. John Paul II's Love and Responsibility, the foundation of his well-known Theology of the Body. Book Club Meetings will include discussions on the content, time for questions, and a chance for fellowship and connecting.
The book will be available for purchase for only $4 (cash or venmo) after the 7 p.m. Masses on March 26 and April 3, or at our first meeting on April 16.
When: Sundays at 5:30 - 6:45 p.m. (before the 7 p.m. Mass) — April 16, April 30, May 14, and June 4
Where: St. Michael's Bliven Library (From the parking lot, enter through the iron gate)
Who: All women in their 20s and 30s are invited! While our discussions will be from a Catholic lens, we welcome other Christians and non-Christians into this discussion too. Feel free to bring a friend!
Sign-up: Sign-up for the book club to ensure you get updates (such as reading list/timeline)
