Preparing for every liturgical season is key to diving deeper in the mystery of Christ’s life and what we can learn every time. The season of Advent is no exception and it’s truly a joyful and expectant time as we prepare ourselves to receive the baby Jesus in our homes and in our hearts.
Here’s a quick what is Advent video to learn some of the basics about this season.

Here’s a short audio clip from Fr. Ignacio on how to prepare for the Advent season.
READ & PRAY
The Advent daily meditation booklet is available to help us go deeper in our understanding and experience of the Kerygma, the basic proclamation of the Good News of salvation in Jesus Christ. (pick up a copy in the church, $1 donation for printing cost appreciated!)
HOMILY SUNDAY SERIES
During the season of Advent we are going to prepare for the Christmas season by hearing the essential moments of our history of Salvation and our call to believe in them. We summarize the story of salvation in four moments: Creation, Captured, Rescued and Response.
There is a deep and intrinsic connection between the proclamation of the Kerygma and the season of Advent, this season of waiting, of hoping, of preparing, and that is what we want to explore in these meditations.
Additionally, you can read the book Rescued by Fr. John Riccardo (available to purchase at church for $10)
