RCIA (Exploring Catholicism) is a nine-month program tailored for:
Baptized Christians of other denominations who want to enter into full communion with the Catholic Church.
Those who have never been baptized and want to receive baptism. Former non-Christians: members of other religious traditions, atheists, and agnostics.
Catholics who have been baptized only and want to be confirmed and receive holy communion.
We meet on a weekly basis to investigate the following topics, among others: Faith; The Holy Trinity; the Identity of Jesus Christ; the Bible; The Meaning of the Mass; the Sacraments; the Church’s Social Teaching; Communion and Community; and Prayer.
The first eight-week period of RCIA serves as an inquiry period. During this time, if you are curious about entering the Church, you can learn more as you decide whether to delve deeper into the treasures of the Catholic Church. This year, we will begin on September 7th at 6:30 p.m. in Balestra Hall.
