This year's Mercy Missionaries are a very special group

In a very real way, in their day-to-day ministry, the Mercy Missionaries enter into the experience of their friends on the streets.

Merle became a friend in a way I had never expected.

I consider this church my home, in more ways than one.

I get to help build back some dignity and respect for these friends whom I hold so dear.

To see them, one has to spend time, to wait, to stay, to listen, and to look.

Nothing transforms us like the mission does.
